I’m in a mad rush today to get things ready for the QUiD Fall 2010 Preview next week. What? I forgot to tell you about it? Well consider yourself invited to Collected Thread, the evening of Friday, August 13th to see some new goods we’re putting together for fall!
Now, onto my find of the day. I’m a sucker for tools and gadgets that pull double duty by being pretty, too. So I just had to share the new line of tools from designer Cynthia Rowley. I love that there is more than just a hammer included in these sets. That staple gun? Be still my home-repair heart!

Okay. I have just a few moments before I’m off, but I just had to share this photo with you. I’m a big fan of this satin wrap skirt from Cynthia Rowley and I really truly adore how Tinsley Mortimer pulled it together with that royal blue top and perfect gray accessories. Lovely!
If you’re like me and just can’t quite work Ms. Rowley into your budget, take a peek at these new Cynthia Rowley patterns for Simplicity I uncovered the other day. I had no idea!
There’s only one thing that gets me through the heat of an Oklahoma Summer: dreaming of fall. Fortunately, that’s pretty easy when you have great designers like Cynthia Rowley pulling together a stunning fall collection (I’ll show you that another day). But what’s even better than that is the surprisingly wearable Resort 2010 line I got a sneak peek of today. Graffiti prints and full skirts in beautiful bold colors make the unbearable heat almost seem worth it!
Need a new ride? Downtown girl, Cynthia Rowley has the chicest method of transport. Although, I would recommend pairing this Beach Cruiser with something other than heels. Sweet gold flats, perhaps?

We’re a mere 11 days from the first official day of spring. Evenings are growing just a bit longer and the earth is peeping out from its frozen sleep.
That can only mean one thing for the fashion-minded: it’s time to prepare for wardrobe transition!
For weeks I’ve been pouring over the spring ’09 runway fashions piecing together the season’s best looks. Over the next few weeks we’ll take a look at some of the trends I’ve spotted.
Today it’s all about soft hues. The palest pastels are making a huge comeback this spring. Be on the lookout for what I call “toasted banana” (most recently worn by our first lady on inauguration day.) Other palettes to look for are smooth apricots, soft aqua blues, sheer pinks and subtle avocados.
